Starting in 2018, BWRE began a process to build a portfolio along the southside of the Manzanares river. With Williamsburg, Brooklyn circa 1999 as an inspiration, we strove to lead the consolidation of the Puerta del Angel neighbourhood as Madrid’s overflow area, known as “Bruclin” or “Madlyn” by locals.

As with Williamsburg in that era, BWRE has tied our investment together with efforts to create a vibrant social and cultural scene. We have acquired more than 35 buildings, all located within a 10 minute walk from the riverside, the Caramuel high street and Puerta del Angel metro stop, the Tirso de Molina Urban and the Casa del Campo Farmers Markets.
